Bad luck. Sounds like you have a problem or a virus in there, or something. I haven’t had any problems, except for those damned messages to get Windows 10. But I just close them. Takes a second.

No viruses, just Wimdows Update wanting to install device drivers for devices it has detected, but the drivers are always for plug in devices, not integrated ones.

Example: graphics on a chip or audio on a chip instead of plug-in cards. Even though the chips have same capability of the same-named card, the busses are different and usually share allocated memory with system memory.

That means the drivers are slightly different, which MS disregards.

I have to hide those optional driver updates to keep my system files from being corrupted and crashing.

I could resort to PCIe video and sound cards - but I shouldn’t have to do that. (Then again MS forces a lot of more expensive choices on us.)
