If you look at the RCP polling average Trump hit two speedbumps on his way to 35%. One was the Fiorina bubble which lasted about three weeks. The other was the Carson fad which lasted two weeks, though he did manage to get ahead of Trump for a few days, which Carly never did.
The fickle voters account for about five points, that's the most that Trump lost as the two other "outsider" candidates rose and fell. But that's over now. Fiorina is at 2% and back in the kiddie debate and Carson is at 9.5% and falling fast. There won't be any new hotness to drag Trump down. Cruz's increasing support seems to be coming from Carson supporters. If he gets all of them he'll still be behind Trump.
For what it's worth there have been some focus groups of Trump supporters that claim his voters are the most loyal and determined, absolutely set in their decision.
Thats just it. they ‘claim’. In 11 at this time you couldnt find a Romney suppoeter without hard effort. In fact most here and outside said no way in hell would they EVER vote for him.
But that obviously was a lie. They fought and fought amongst themselves and finally got who they wanted. Many still defend him.
Maybe Trump is different. But that’s what people say every election year. This one or that one or the circumstance is existential etcetcetc. And every election they run right to the polls and elect the liberal the GOP runs ‘no matter what’ or try to. Nothing they were so devoutly committed to 6 months prior matters at all.
I know she has issues, but on this one topic, I agree with her. It is no different than the other candidates, regarding immigration/amnesty. Once the rat voting block far outweighs the pube voting block, it is over. Actually, it will happen even on the pube’s watch, just at a slower rate.
I would agree she is right that we must fix immigration ASAP. But not at the expense of all else.
We don’t have to abandon everything else though. We can multitask. All she’s doing is manipulating her reader/viewers with a false choice.
Same thing she did with Romney. then Christie. Now trump. If Coulter says something then look behind the curtain. There’s something more going on.
The liberal the GOP was hoping to run is in sixth place with less than 4% in the RCP averages. Their backup liberal, Rubio, is in third place with 11%. Cruz and Trump have 54% between them.
It's not looking good for liberals this time.
Multitasking is a must, with immigration first. :-)
Immigration is an absolute must regardless of Cruz, Trump or anyone.
