I stand corrected — Current silver prices put the quarter at about $2.60 and the dime at about a buck so the total would only be $3.60. I don’t think you’re going to find 3 gallons of gas for that, even in Texas.

Hmmm.
A few days ago topped off a tank @ $174.9.
Slightly over two gallons, the silver those two small coins would have fetched.
That's still remarkable.
