I don’t know what is going to happen. I don’t really want Trump as our next president. I would of course take him over Hillary and pray he doesn’t go left.
But haven’t we been down this road just 3 years ago when we laughed at every poll and said they were skewed, we couldn’t find anyone who would admit to supporting Obama, and Romney was drawing massive crowds to his rallies. We know the most accurate measuring device, for whatever the reason, was the polls.
I will say, and maybe this is the rationale, it obviously is very early and this could completely flip. There ARE people in this country, no doubt a lot, put off by Trump’s behavior at times. I just don’t know how large a number that is and how many of them will vote. Some people still have this notion of prim and proper being presidential.

But I would cautiously add, when was it ever imaginable that a socialist would draw crowds like Bernie? The country as we know has changed. And not for the better.

So it would not be a surprise if Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz wound up winning their party’s nominations.

Quinnipiac’s poll is different from others, which have the candidates running closer. Usually Sanders comes out ahead, but only in single digits. In a few, Trump was on top.
They'll surely be snorting crack to go back into their fantasy stupors if Commie Bernie is their nominee where he would get slammed in the November election.
