In the last New Hampshire poll 38% of liberals supported Trump. She may be on to something here.

If Bernie goes 3rd party that would work too. He’s too tied at the hip with the DemRats though so thats doubtful. Trump may get a small % of Bernie’s voters. The rest will hold the nose for Hellary or not vote at all.

if you don’t see the cross over appeal, you’re not paying attention.

OK,tell me this...if Trump drops out and Bernie stays in how many of Trump's supporters will go to Bernie...as opposed to going to the GOP nominee or staying home?

May I assume that you understand that Bernie's a lifelong Maoist and Trump isn't?

This only cross over appeal I’m observing is from blue dog or blue collar type typical Dems..

I may be in a unique situation as I currently live in the Madison WI area - but all the Sanders people I know and see are your typical walleyed barking moonbat lefties...

There’s no cross over there.. Just insanity, communism, political correctness and self loathing...

They are both populists.....both rage against the system.....there’s a lot of Bernie followers who aren’t that smart - and they’ll be emotionally attracted to the big personalities on either side. They agree on tariffs it would seem. They are both all about using government to get things done...even if some of the things they want done are different.

Don’t kid yourself.

Well look who's being snotty. As to your first question, it's a ridiculous hypothetical and not going to happen. Second, it's not relevant. Third, I don't think nearly as many Trump supporters would go to Bernie as Bernie supporters would go to Trump. I think there are more lo info supporters now of Bernie.

Now, I assume you understand that Trump is almost a life long supporter of progressive politicians and causes???? He may not be a "Maoist" - but he's said far more good things about Clinton and universal health care in his life than he's ever said about limited government. ....

I’m with you. Sanders’ constituency is Dennis Kusinich people/DU. That’s the polar opposite of Trump.

Exactly backwards. Should Trump drop out or should the Uniparty’s coming assassination attempt be successful, a lot of Trump supporters would go for Bernie. It’s not ideology, it’s anti establishment.

None of Berie followers have a thought molecule to tweet between them. But Trump (and I’m not a fan) is a symbol of capitalism. That alone will keep them away in droves.

Trump as a symbol of capitalism will tamp it down, but Trump in reality is a crony capitalist in many ways and a proponent of a big strong government doing big strong things. The appeal is not universal, but it is there to a degree.

No one is saying a mass migration here - just that there is some cross over. And do not lump all Bernie supporters into the same camp necessarily.

Of course they will. The dirty little secret about Trump is that his appeal goes across the board — something the ‘opinion makers’ are going to have to accept.

Sure, but when do liberals ever deal in reality? I’m looking at it from Unicornland. They see evil rich capitalist. The thing they ejaculate over with sanders is his schtick over opposing evil rich capitalists.

The fact Bernie is an evil rich capitalist is OK because he’s promoting their agenda and DESERVES the money, fame and wealth.

Trump or anyone right of Ted Kennedy does not. In their view of course. It must be redistributed. And the last thing DT is ever gonna do is redistribute his bucks as they wish. He won’t distribute ours as they wish either. And they know it.

He might redistribute some of it. Like his ‘Sorry Conservatives/everyone covered socialism idiocy, but not BLM, ACLU, Global warming etc. So he’s not an option.

The Donald has an appeal FAR beyond merely the disgruntled libertarians and some conservatives within the Republican party. Many more of the “unaffiliated” voting age population, some of whom have not voted in years, or NEVER voted, are sufficiently attracted so that now they have or are planning to register to vote this next November. And as noted, even a few disaffected Democrats may be willing to cross over and pull the lever for The Donald.

This is shaping up to be a landslide for Republicans (through no fault of their own) similar to what put Reagan in his second term in 1984. Minnesota and DC went for Walter Mondale.

Graveyards are the site of a lot of whistling right now.

The cold willies are out and about for the Democrats.

What you said is true of perhaps the majority of Bernie supporters...it is not true of all. I never said most, or a lot....only some.

I know some (can’t believe they’re into Bernie, but they are ) - and they also like Trump. They like the outsider mentality. They like raging against the system, even as they cannot define the system.

Conway, allegedly a smart lady, cannot possibly think any Sanders voter would cross over to Cruz. That makes no sense at all; they’re diametrically opposed to each other in ideology.

Trump makes more sense than Cruz. Of course, they’ll support Hillary in the end because their unions and churches will decree it.

I can’t imagine more than the barest handful of them going to the dark side so extremely. I’ll give you ‘some’ but with the qualifier that it’s a damn small figure.
