Since he is a foreigner, I'll give his advice the same consideration that I give advice from other semi-friendly foreigners: I'll weigh its merits and act accordingly.

About 16% of Israel's population is Muslim. Does he have the same controls over them that people are talking about here, i.e. surveillance, shutting down Mosques, deporting Muslim citizens, etc.?
I don’t think Benny has quite the issue we have with immigration. They have systems in place to vet those guys and probably turn a high percentage away. Our government only cares about some degree of plausible deniability.

That was a tweet from a reporter at Haaretz, a leftist rag in Israel.
This is what Bibi actually said:
“Benjamin Netanyahu issued his statement late Wednesday, hours after it was announced that Trump will be visiting Israel at the end of the month.
“The state of Israel respects all religions and strictly guarantees the rights of all its citizens,” the statement said. “At the same time, Israel is fighting against militant Islam that targets Muslims, Christians and Jews alike and threatens the entire world.”

Note how the magazine leads the article...
“Israel’s prime minister on Wednesday rejected Donald Trump’s recent statements about Muslims, saying Israel “respects all religions” as he faced calls to call off an upcoming visit by the Republican front-runner.”
In other words they take that tame statement from Bibi and spins it into “rejects Trump”. Absolutely vile.
So my advice to all of us here, before we start throwing people on our side under the bus, do a bit of due diligence on what you’re reacting to.
And that goes especially for the posters - poisoning us with the other side’s propaganda does us no good.
The book of Ezekiel 38-39 says it’s a big mistake to support Russia and Genesis says it’s a mistake to turn against Israel.

Thank you for the back story on this. The tweet quote did seem out of character for Netanyahu.
The US and Americans should be our first concern. Perhaps Bibi wants us to have to deal with Muslim terrorists here so the US is more likely to stay engaged in the Middle East. Israel wants us fighting their battles for them.

Cant say I would ever side with Russia against the US even though I do enjoy Putin treating Obama like an inflatable love doll. Going against Israel goes against my grain and thanks to aquila48’s reply Bibi’s quote was clarified.
