Oh lucky you.
Radeon 7950HD2 here. I’ll likely upgrade. I can run fully modded Skyrim wide open and only blizzards and grass mods really drop framerate so we’ll see how a 3 year old 3 gig card holds up. If it stresses it, then Egghead, here I come.
Anyway Morrowind to me was the best of the series story-wise, that area was truly alien and I fell in love with Dwemer ruins and the Daedra freaked me out. Skyrim is the masterpiece though.
Absolutely! LA Noir turned me off Rockstar hard. What a waste of money. It’s trick with sequels, too. Mafia was a fantastic game, but Mafia II was a horror. Bethesda seems to have the knack of keeping what made originals good without making the sequels too familiar.
I figured this game would result in a massive price drop on cards. It did.

Good Lord. I feel dumber now that I watched that. LMAO.
I read back in the nineties where it was the constant necessity to upgrade rigs for the rapidly escalating complexity of video games that drove the computer industry.
I believe that and am thankful for the plateau. LOL
Yup. It’s better modded but the standard game with all DLC is truly epic.
I remember back in the Amiga days dreaming of a game like Skyrim. Oblivion was close. Sky got there. I exper F4 will take it a step beyond. Not a huge step. More like an evolution.
Like I told the Daughter Nord. You just KNOW both of them are up to their ...you kno3w...in Gamergate Feminist crap. No go back and read the shirt on the pink hair.
Hentai huh?
They are both fully qualified for State Department spokesbabe jobs.
When I was at Off-Road.com was when Motocross Madness and group play over the net came out. Believe it. We were all at the computer store every couple weeks upgrading everything.
Fun times. Exciting.
Expensive as hell...
Not so fun ;)
“Eleven minutes. The ladies want it longer than that.”
LOL And that’s all I took from the video.
I’m one of those guys that actually wants ‘the same game’, just a new chapter of it. I’m fine with logical evolution of a game, don’t get me wrong, but as soon as they start reinventing functional wheels, I haZ not a happy.
The one on the Left even looks like Harf.
I did not know that. But I run 64-bit so it was cool.
Heh. I hear that.
I remember getting my Viper 16 card.
16 MEG of ram. MEG. Pentium 400MHZ.
And thought I ruled the world. A while back on a thread, Swordmaker, myself and some of the old/even older school guys were rehashing the days of the Silicon Graphics boxes and the highest of high end from that era.
Today, the IWatch probably has more power and capability than an SGI Onyx system. Which was over $100,000 loaded up IIRC.
I went into a computer store in San Jose around 1996 and asked what their most expensive rig was. And it bought it.
It was an Acer with a black computer cabinet and monitor case. It felt like I was operating a Netcom.com Harley. When I told a friend at work who had more computer savvy than I did that the system was all black, he said, “Why?”
The man had no soul.
We always built ours ourselves. None more black baby! ;) Mine is in a 19 in rack case with my music gear now. Big for good circulation and it’s out of the way.
I don’t do the customized case/ pimp my box thing anymore, just bolt them together. But if we had all the liquid cooling options, LEDs and the rest back then, we’d have done it like fiends. Then buried it all under a desk and never even seen it. But we’d know it was there ;)
