She is just a victim of Major League Baseball’s discrimination against women players. If there were some women on the professional baseball teams, the officer wouldn’t have known right off that the card wasn’t of her.
DUI means Driving Under the Influence. Not just drunk driving.
DUI means “Driving Under the Influence” (of drugs OR alcohol)
DWI = “Driving While Intixicated” (from alcohol)
I just turned 16, had just gotten my DL, and was in my dad’s car on my first drive around town with a buddy in the right seat. We had not been drinking or doing drugs.
Due to talking with my friend, I didn’t come to a complete stop at a stop sign, and a local cop pulled me over.
I was so shaken and scared when the cop asked for my DL that I handed him a dollar bill. He looked at it quite angrily for a few seconds......like, “You’re trying to bribe me with THIS?!?!?” and handed it back to me again angrily requesting my DL.
Finally settled enough to realize what I had done, I handed him my DL, knowing now I was going to jail for attempting to bribe an officer (interestingly, he was known for being easy on anyone who annually gave him a bottle of Jim Beam for Christmas).
When he saw I had just gotten my license the day before - he let me go with a warning.
36+ years of driving I've only ever gotten a couple of speeding tickets. (deserved) I've been through a couple of DUI checkpoints without issue (I don't drive impaired) and a couple of DHS type checkpoints in AZ. (also without incident, my bloodlines run northern European so I don't look like the guys they were looking for)
No, occifer, I wasn't driving, we were all in the back seat singing!
No, occifer Iâm not as drunk as some thinkle peep I am!

The police officer did her and others on the road a favor, possibly saving her life.
It doesn't. Impaired is impaired. It doesn't matter the means.
Incohol and gasoloon don’t mix!
Inco..Gasa..what you said (hic!)

Lawyers cost money. I’ve been given “the test” twice, passed easily each time (’cause I was not impaired by one or two beers; your mileage may vary). Declining to take the test is considered an admission of guilt in this state, and it’s bye-bye license.
She still couldn’t pass the field sobriety test, AND, when asked for her DL, tried to hand him a baseball card.
I know a guy that once passed his library card to officer friendly when asked for ID. While he wasn’t driving (a van parked engine off and no driver or keys), he was drunk.
These days, even if you blow a .000, doesn’t mean you’re not impaired.
