I grow my own garlic.
LOTS of it. It’s very easy to manage and after I harvest it, I put in my fall crop of lettuce and turnips.
In NYS with our wonderful (/S) growing season.
I also grow what I can and can what I grow. I KNOW what’s in my tomato sauce.
I have my own herb garden for spices and buy local honey and milk products.
It makes no sense to ship the animals there and try to keep them alive until slaughtered and processed and then shipped back here.
Sounds like this pig thing is a hoax. But - they do sent all of our old electronics to China to get recycled. Awful photos of little kids with no protection stripping computers, burning the plastic, crap into the stream, etc.
I guess the one thing is - the container ships are empty after dumping off all the Chinese imports, so the shippers can get a good rate on sending our garbage to China. Probably cheaper than putting the garbage in an environmentally sound landfill.
The incoming Moslems are not going to let us eat pork.
I'm not buying the cost effectiveness of this article.
I haven't bought Smithfield since years ago they protected their illegal alien workers. I kicked Paula Deen off my viewing list, not because of that hoo ha over race but because she made a statement that she would continue as Smithfield's spokesperson even after they continued to hire illegals.
You're behind. The Muslim in Chief has banned pork from federal prisons.
I stay away from pork anyway even, unfortunately, bacon. Too much fat and sodium.
LOL! Post of the Day.
Did you STOP to think how much feed they would eat on the way to China?
What are they going to do, send along a Tender Ship with Corn, soybean meal, etc?
ROTFL
Sending planes full of screaming hogs to China doesn’t make sense.
It’s crazy, but about as crazy as shipping parts across the Mexican border to have a few screws inserted into an assembly then shipped back to the US with ‘Made In Mexico’ labeled on the items.
Another thing that’s happening is a product is made in China, shipped to Mexico, then reshipped to the US with ‘Made In Mexico’ labels.
In today’s world I would only be surprised if the planes carrying the porkers had a pig flying the plane.
I’ve raised more than a quarter million hogs.
Believe me, nobody is shipping hogs more than a couple hundred miles to butcher, if even that far.
