Like a house mortgaged to the hilt, it is not their world so long as there is a debt that is unpaid (and probably unrepayable). Who owns the house? The bank. Who owns the world for her audience (the U.S.)? Whoever holds the debt.
Foreigners own about half.
What happens if the debt cannot be repaid? Then who owns their world?
The book these young people need is “Plunder and Deceit” by Mark Levin.
