I personally don’t care. He had Heb on his show. That alone is enough for me to not watch.
Well, Trump will be on Jimmy Fallon on Sep. 11. I bet many FReepers will watch that.
Sure, because it isn’t Heb Bush.
I have no intention of watching Jimmy Fallon, ever —
— unless he is able to bring Bob Marley or Jim Morrison back from the dead as a musical guest.
It was basically a single joke extending for way too long to the point of making Eminem and the audience uncomfortable.
Colbert promised that he would have a lot of similar "humor" that made people uncomfortable on his show.
I wonder how long that will work out for him?
Letterman lost audience because he was slightly edgy. Colbert's numbers could plummet if he tries to do a late night version of The Office.
It was so boring, it wasn’t worth watching.
Letterman to Stephen Coalbear is not an improvement.
I would be surprised if Colbert’s show last over three years. I think even if we finally get a Republican president, Colbert’s brand of humor, is somewhat confined to making fun of anything conservative, and everybody knows it.
When Jon Stewart left his show, I think that marked the end of an era, where a cursing, openly lying propagandist would be taken so seriously. Every dog has his day. Secondly, Colbert seems to radiate unhappiness, bitterness and dissatisfaction. That gets old too.
I have virtually no interest in watching his show.
Edgy? Yeah, if by 'edgy' you mean boring and dumb.
Letterman had about half a dozen running jokes and that was it.
Letterman was extremely boring, Colbert even more. I stopped watching before Jeb.
How about in America?
Seth Meyers is worse. He seems to be angry about something.
Just a late-night comedian now.
We’ll see how that works for him. I won’t be watching, but I’m sure the Bush Family will.
Colbert had some funny bits now and then (like, “I don’t see race. I didn’t know I was white until somebody told me.”)
I couldn’t stand Letterman.
I liked Conan O’Brien’s routine where he’d interview a big picture of a celebrity (like Arnold Schwarzenegger) where only the lips moved, a la Clutch Cargo.
Never liked the guy won’t watch his show. What he does has no relevance to my wonderful life.
Saw it last night and thought it was a funny show, until Jeb showed up.
Dude brought down the average I.Q.’s in the room...
I always thought that W. had more humor than Jeb.
