Yesterday here in Pacheco it was 102. Thank God I have my AC running all day and now even today. However, in 2 consecutive days in the morning we had an outage which lasted about 20 minutes. Being on the second floor it makes my apartment feel hotter. Can’t wait for winter, at least I can bundle up with a nice cup of cocoa.
It is 11:59am and it is 90, temp reaches its highest peak at 3pm. It is predicted it will reach 105 ughhhhh.
Blecch!
I just looked at the thermometer on the fence and it reads 116.
I’m planning milkshakes for dinner!
It’s only 80 in my house right now.
I’ll enjoy that while I can.
I’ll admit it right now-living in the hot humid summer of the south would finish me off!
Here in Lake Havasu AZ 100 degrees is a cool and comfortable day
Are they trying to tell me that a school district in the San Jose area doesn’t have AC in ALL OF THEIR CLASSROOMS?
I can quite confidently call BULLSH#T on this.
Are they closing all the school administrative offices because of heat, too?
Pansies.
Good Lord; what a bunch of crybabies.
I spent most of my life in places like Barstow, Kelso,
Baker, Daggett, and Palmdale.
Spent 5 years in and out of Twentynine Palms while in the Corps.
A 105 to 110 day was considered a nice day, over 115 it was just starting to get a little warm.
The only type of AC available at the time was a swamp cooler, most hot days you were better off without it.
It’s almost 90 here in Boise, and supposed to be mid-90s for the next few days. No-one here is complaining about it, though (everything here has A/C).
