Somewhere, an ISIS thug is looking for a map to this thing so he can destroy it.

The Russians claimed to have broken the code. The KGB got a confession.

While the messages remain 'an utter mystery to modern man', the Russian academic said its creators 'lived in total harmony with the world, had advanced intellectual development, and a complicated spiritual world'.Hoo boy!
If the markings' meanings remain a mystery, how can anyone proclaim their 'deeper religious significance'?
As for "lived in total harmony with the world...", no one has since humanity was expelled from the Garden of Eden.
My humble guess is that the diamond patterns were similar to the patterns on many snakes, and that the carving overall may be an early version of the 'Totem Poles' seen in the Pacific Northwest.

Actually I just made and planted that statue last week. I’m testing out my new carbon-dating “faux painting” products.

Interesting article. The assumption in the headline, though, is that the pyramids are only 5500 years old.

It seems to me to be a totem pole and it is probably a Siberian tradition that went with the first people into the America’s and probably no accident it is a tradition that was found in the Pacific north-west.
