Should'a kept 98SE
You can get a Win 98SE disc easily enough if you really mean it. A lot of stuff won't run on it, though.

I’ve got about the same mix as you. So far I’ve upgraded a Win 7 laptop 2 Win 8.1 laptops, and a Win 7 desktop. All without issues. I Was a window phone8 user. Verizon never updated me to 8.1, but I gave it up because of the app issue. I still miss my windows phone. Android sucks (I got an S5) and I’m not a big iPhone fan. I want to go back to windows phone and I hope this Windows 10 rollout pushes more apps to windows.

I rolled back after 2 days.
the upgrade implementation was the easiest and most convenient of any Win ver. Def an A+
the product (Win10) is lacking. Features missing, privacy issues, application issues, UI, etc.

Why does it always happen .... when we make something really good .... someone comes along and makes something else that sucks and they discontinue (common usage) of something good?
My neighbor still has the '57 Chevy he got when he got out of the Army in the early 60's
You can camp out under the hood with all that extra room

I have Win7 so I never witnessed the Win8 (debacle?) OS.
I am pleased with Win7 so when my company upgrades, I will probably upgrade. They are about 5 years behind the market.
