LGA is the Platonic perfect form of a dump airport. Considering this is NYC we are talking I think the over/under on costs will be $8 billion and the over/under on completion time should be 36 months not 18 months.

When it’s done, it’ll be a $28-billion dollar facelift.

How is it possible to spend $4 billion in such a small area in such a short time? Even without cost overruns, this seems pricey.

How can they spend $4B without filling in a bunch of more wetlands

They should start over someplace else. Last place looks irrecoverable to me. I like the sign on a nearby rooftop: IF YOU CAN READ THIS SIGN, ADD POWER.

That’s OK. The actual facelift will cost a small fraction of that. The rest will line the pockets of crooks. Politicians love big construction projects because it’s so easy to skim money without getting caught.

$4 Billion Tax Dollars in New York City might, and I repeat MIGHT, get you two or three OAHA/ADA-compliant bathrooms.

So, who’ll be paying for La Shartia’s make over? NYers or will it be funded federally (We the Taxpayer?).
I tried to do a search on who’s paying, but couldn’t find anything. TIA for any info.

More importantly... what percent of the 4 billion will unions send back to Democrats?

LOL...the unions (SEIU) are already complaining that they weren’t consulted on how much they’d be getting paid for this reno work. Good grief...are they EVER happy?
