***I wonder what it feels like to be gripped by mass insanity, or mass hysteria.***
Not the first time. I still remember the national hysteria when Bobby Kennedy was murdered.
Just for the record, some do. DH has been substitute teaching & this past semester, one of his classes was studying the war. He was impressed that they were even handed about it. This is in the district we both graduated from, decades ago, & it really doesn’t seem to have changed that much- not like the stories we’ve read.
I’m not sure how many of them are actually ignorant. You can post facts & back it up (like the Corwin amendment & links to writings before the revisions), but they either just ignore it or delete it. At least one entire thread disappeared from thediscussionist yesterday to which I’d posted about the Corwin amendment. I don’t know if it flamed out later or what.
I don’t think we’ll make it that long if this continues.
I have news for you: Do you think liberalism is a cancer that is somehow confined by lines on a map?
Seems to me that elected southerners are taking up the battle to throw the traditional south and traditional marriage down the memory hole.
Sure, they might be buckling to pressure from Northerners, but it is southerners leading the legislative efforts in those states, towns and businesses.
