Not sure where you are going, but when the Sodomites are removed it will remove a lot of dross...(1 Kings 15:12)
Proverbs 27:4 Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?
While the parents might have enough saved to comfortably retire, I think Josh's employment prospects are pretty limited right now.
Perhaps...
Both A and B can be accomplished by not judging people by our sdtandrads but by judging by the word of God.
In the word of God we can look back at the life of David who had a son who raped one of David's daughters.
This son was killed by another of David's sons.
Instead of doing something about it according to the law of Moses which they were to go by at the time, David counter manned the law of Moses and let his son go into banishment - this came back to bite David in the end, as this son he had banished later almost took the kingdom from David and men on David's side and men on Absalom's side died in that civil war.
While we no longer go by the law of Moses, and in no way should we now, did Josh's mom and dad handle things properly, did Josh have to go to a juvenile court as almost everyone else would have ended up in, did Josh get sent to a certified rehabilitation place where most kids would have ended up in?
look at my post in #25 and tell me what you think.
I was actually agreeing with your statement.
Dross represents sin in a believer’s life and God will remove it to reveal the beauty of his new creation. However, sanctification is rarely an easy or painless process.
1 Corinthians 2:15
Absolutely
