108 yesterday and the same today. The wind kicked up yesterday, and the humidity dropped, and that’s the time folks have to be careful...the wind will suck the moisture right out of a person before they realize it’s happening.
When a person begins to feel thirsty, dehydration is already in progress.
I just think it would be hysterical to keep the person on the line who is trying to scam you out of money while you essentially beg them for help to keep you out of bankruptcy.
You don’t understand. They’re threatening to forecolse on my house. If you freeze my accounts maybe they can’t do that. I NEED you to freeze my accounts. How soon can you do that?
Our Houston Scouts learned that at summer camps in the hill country on the edge of the Texas desert. I would even have to ask them how many times they had peed that day. I’d get answers like, “I think once.”
Sit yaself down and drink this right now!
Anybody know how much it costs to get a run of bumper-stickers printed? I’m thinking I could make some money with:
Clinton/Bush 2016
What difference does it make?
Excellent choice! I’m sure there are plenty of sites like maybe bumprstikersrus.com around to give you plenty of price quotes. LOL!
Yep, I could probably scam the scammers but it takes too much effort in this heat. I just had to bump the thermostat up one degree to cut down on the A/C cycling.
Even people who have lived here for years fall into the trap of, “I don’t need to drink water. I’m OK.” Luckily (?) for me, CFIDS ensures that I will have a sore throat and dry mucous membranes, so I drink ice water, all year round!
Yahbut. See? I’m just beginning to warm up, now, and will go outside for 30 minutes just to feel the warmth.
:o])
Afternoon. It was “only” a little over 100 today, and supposed to be the same tomorrow. They announced at the end of the day today that there will be no outdoor sports activity (kickball and so on) tomorrow afternoon. On Friday they usually bring out a firetruck late in the day and spray them.
Today at lunchtime we got to see a car that was built by a local man to try for the world land-speed record. He said it came in just a fraction of a MPH slow, something on the order of 233 mph.
There were a few heat-exhaustion cases today, but nothing major. I spotted a boy from our troop looking droopy and mopey and got his den leader (also his mother) to force him to drink more.
At 1130 this morning, it was 105 on my shaded patio.
Right now, it’s 109, 5% and winds of 13 out of the WNW.
I went to boil eggs today and was out of them. I was going to buy some last week, and thought I had enough. Ohwoeisme.
I want to eat something, but at the moment, I have eaten 500 calories less than I have used today, and I don’t want to upset that. I had to have an ulcer cocktail this morning but it wasn’t good. The honey was old and I was out of nutmeg; I feel the need of another dose, as I still have half the banana, but it has to have all the ingredients.
The Carditone was supposed to be here today, but it was sent by “FedEx-Mail” so it may be Friday before it gets here. My BP is up a little today, but I expected it. It should be better tomorrow.
FYI: I just got an email from the claim company. Nothing else, just the notification that it was received. I don’t know what they will decide. The doctor said “six months” but I’m thinking about the time that expires, I’ll be headed for surgery.
So we will see. I didn’t go get my X-rays as I was going to do today, but I can get them on Friday, when the X-ray tech is in again. After I get them, I will try to get an earlier appointment than August.
I got the paperwork for the ortho visit and there are 10 pages to fill out: Five with one side and five with both sides to work on. *sheesh*
Dang.
Not exactly what I said when I saw all the pages, but it will do! ;o]
I’m trying to keep it clean, what with being with little boys all day.
I figured. And I’m trying to keep it clean because one never knows how old the person is who is looking over your shoulder at any given moment!
Off to watch the blanket show...
I hope it’s riveting! Half an hour to little kids’ bedtime.
