Secretariat (Nixon)
Gallant Fox (Hoover)
Then what happened.........we got saddled with FDR and Carter in the next election.

Twelve Triple Crown winners...ten during Democratic presidencies. Maybe the chances of there being a Triple Crown winner are inversely proportional to how bad the President happens to be. (The two times when there was a Republican President were in 1930 and 1973).
No filly has ever won the Triple Crown. Sexism in the horse-racing industry. Hillary will have to do something about that after her coronation.
