Oddly I have a pretty uncommon name but there are about 20 people in the US that share my first and last name AND middle initial. Google does have all of past addresses(30+ years) and phone numbers. Social Security has a death record for someone with my exact name born in 1925.

Funny you say that. There are only two people in America that have my husband’s name. Him and his son. We’ve googled them.

Great place to get an idea as to just how common your surname is: www.ancestry.com/family/facts‎

Have you tried it?

That link seems to be bad. This works better:

My name is so common, I got through 15 Google pages and still hadn’t found me. I had a book out 15 years ago, and used to be on the bottom of the first page!

I am just happy that my parents, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, named me John. Good Luck!

What’s really disconcerting is to google your FReeper name.

I got taken aback yesterday on finding a post I had put on Free Republic not 30 min. prior.
I was searching for some info on a subject and ran across the post while searching.
Spooky.

Search on your name with a state afterward.
Example: John Smith, CA
You can also narrow it done with a zip code. If too many come back then try company. One of my credit reports shows me in Virgina and Georgia yet I have never been there.

I found 1 photo of me that was taken of me from a past job in 2003. Some links lead you to ancestry information. I have a cousin in Wisconsin with the same name including the middle one. He works at a family business there and looks much older then me yet we are the same age : )

A problem can come up if his name is cross referenced with my information and vice versa. I found public court records of relatives as well. Interesting.
