the really sick thing about this case was the reason she was in a coma was her husband beat her.
What i could never figure out was her parents obviously loved her more than husband and they let husband make decisions.

Your first statement is alleged. There is no evidence supporting it.
The parents did not let Michael make the decisions, as husband has the legal standing.
There is a lot of information out there on this case, you should avail yourself of it.
As I recall, husband had financial reason to kill her and it was his claim that she said to him that she wanted to be killed if she ever suffered such a serious, life changing injury. I think he had a financial settlement for the damage to Terry and had to use the money to take care of her so he had a new girlfriend and wanted Terry dead so he could get the money.
Family, Catholic, did not believe that Terry would want to be killed. Not her cultural ethics. They wanted to take care of her. A lot of disagreement on her awareness level/brain damage.
