A lack of duct tape wasn’t the problem in that shop.

Looks like the tuna is canned elsewhere and then the cans are steamed in California, in this case from 2012.

This story is fake. There are no tuna canneries in the United States. The Bumble Bee cannery is in Samoa. There never has been a tuna cannery in Santa Fe Springs in California. There used to be to canneries in San Diego but they closed down about 40 years ago. THIS STORY IS FAKE.

This is the oven below. This was a horrible way to die.
To: forgotten man
Then why is it being reported by half dozen american news sources?

“There are no tuna canneries in California. The last one closed decades ago. The tuna canneries are overseas. This story is fishy.”
It’s not a cannery. It’s Bumblebee’s processing plant in Santa Fe Springs.

Type 13100 Arctic Circle, Santa Fe Springs, CA into google and see what you get. Bumblebee Seafoods Packing Facility will top the list.

“Former safety manager” charged. Gee, I wonder what led to him being the “former” safety manager?

Are you the one that pinged the mods telling them that this story was a fake when indeed it is true??

I think you made the moderator sick, or the distasteful comments did.
I know because I took part. ;)

Sorry Charlie...I’ll buy Chicken of the Sea for the next year... I don’t want a human and tuna salad sandwich...

I don’t eat the tuna from Bumble Bee but I do eat their canned oysters. Good oysters. The ingredients are just oysters, water and salt. Pure oysters. Good oysters. I eat them right out of the can.
