The kid may make history. Great tournament if you like great golf. The kid seems to have his head screwed on right, as well.

He went to Catholic school...so half the FReepers can start shredding him now, LOL.

Is’t the final round almost over?
To: fhayek
Hitting the ball and making it go in the hole in the shortest amount of shots possible.
Not a bad game.

Jesuits make a point of saying they aren’t Catholic schools, they are Jesuit schools.

Perhaps the 1.5 years at U of Texas will offer him slight redemption here....

Anybody from Texas is OK with me, with the possible exception of Ann Richards.

Lyndon Johnson did a LOT of damage, I’d add him to your list.

I am a Roman Catholic, so I have a salt shaker nearby in case I need a grain of salt. We Catholics can take it.

Yup. I went to St. Ignatius HS, but somehow (with Divine Intervention!) I made my way back to Catholicism.
Does anyone know if Spieth is religious guy?

It’s special for us. Good friend of my son played golf at San Diego State University and she became friends with Spieth. We saw him play last year at Torrey Pines. What a spectacular tourney! Go Spieth!

The leader is so young it doesn't look like he even shaves yet. LOL
Wish Phil did better but, 3rd with these young guys isn't bad.

Phil is still a marvel. How can you NOT enjoy watching him play? There was a time that I couldn’t stand Mickelson. I guess I thought he was arrogant or something. It has changed 180 degrees. He may be my favorite player. The shots he pulls off are just...what?... magic.
