Clowns scare some people, Talisker.
It's because they wear robes.
Gosh who knew there was still an Episcopal church.....I thought they surrendered decades ago
Is this the CULT posing as a church that said gays can get married now? If it is... the CULT is trash...
My friend’s United Church of Christ pastor has a rainbow robe she wears for service...(He invited us to it). Crazy church.
The Climate Liars are going to hell!
Amen. God created the fossil fuels for us to develop and somehow by consuming them, we are going to “destroy” his creation? I think not.
The Church didn’t like Galileo much for holding that the planets didn’t revolve around the earth, and we know how that turned out....
She and several Popes have mentioned how we need to protect the environment - all get away from the purpose of their religion which should be to spread the Word and the Good News of the Gospels because of Jesus Christ.
The Bible certainly tells us not to pollute his earth.
“Global warming” is junk science. CO2 isn’t pollution. Neither is NO2, or any of that other inert crap. I think we can all agree pollution causes direct, measurable harm to plants, animals, and humans.
If they want to speak out against Biblical pollution, perhaps they should discuss the radioactive sludge oozing out of Fukushima, or the toxic fumes coming out of D.C.
That’s a political stand — time to revoke the tax exempt status of that fake denomination.
The issue isn't so much pollution when it comes to Global Warming nonsense - as you pointed out, NO2 and CO2 are not pollutants.
Too many "higher ups" in religions keep getting diverted fro Biblical truth and start preaching personal crap that does nothing to spread the Word and the Good News - they don't belong in their elevated positions as they are wasting them on superfluous crap instead of doing what they should.
One problems with Lefties is that they see any group and they want to immediately harness them to some political cause. It is a waste of time, in their minds, to have people gathering every week if they cannot be used to accomplish something useful.
The problem is that the Episcopal Church is having a difficult time getting them to gather in the first place.
I have tried to explain to my Vestry what I call The Law of 90s.
Say you have a bunch of political issues, each of which is a 90/10 prospect, which is to say it is supported by 90% of the population. These are things that everybody agrees on. Any politician would be crazy not to jump on the right side of all of these issues. It is a no-brainer.
Buy say you are trying to run a church. If you adopt five 90/10 positions, one after the other, you have angered 10%, then 19%, then 27%, then 34%, and finally 41% of your congregation. Furthermore, if somebody is so committed to an idea that he is willing to hold it even when it is a 10% proposition, it is probably something that he will quit a Parish over.
So by becoming polically activist, a church will drive people out the door, a little at a time. For most Episcopal parishes, if they lose 41% of their parishioners, they will close within a year.
