Back in the 80’s when I was in the bike business, I used a kid trailer to haul a keg to a party.

I installed a carseat a few months before my firstborn came along. I used it for 64 ounce ‘growlers’ refilled at a local brewpub as practice. They strapped in nicely and were protected from side impacts as well.
