Regarding Bergdahl’s father....remember this little ditty?....
At the end of the brief event, the soldier’s father, Bob Bergdahl, recited the most frequent phrase in the Koran — “Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim” —which means “In the name of Allah, most Gracious, most Compassionate.”
After Bergdahl finished his statement and his praise for Allah, Obama hugged him.

Of course it is. These sort of speculations come from a desire for the facts of the case to add up and form a picture that makes sense. As it stands, attributing the shooting to PTSD and the shooter's mental condition is less than satisfying. It does seem like a piece of the puzzle is missing.
Doug Giles in no goof. I don’t think Walid Shoebat is either. A weaker minded person should not be minding the prisoners but then they probably would be awful in battle. So I can believe he might convert. I always thought this might have been a hit. Maybe it was just a weaselly creepy recent convert doing his duty for allah. There was reporting that he was into marijuana and that’s all he did all day. Hope this trial brings truth to light.

However, they should have used this info instead of the facial hair headline, which is more relevant than the hair angle.

Most of the people commenting here simply don’t like Townhall. But the beard is an indicator. I assume once he’s on trial we will hear nothing about his religious/political affiliations and beliefs.
