Ah yes, the tranquil effects of hard drugs. Whatever brain they were born with seems to be long gone. Maybe we should open a zoo for those who choose to lower their mental level to little more than that of a wild animal.

It goes deeper than that. People who have completely given up on life with no hope or direction.

Judging strictly from facial expression; he get’s it, they have been publicly exposed in depravity and are hip deep in trouble, she, frankly doesn’t give a damn, and is stiffling a yawn.
She probably has a chance to reunite with all her ‘girlfriends’, he is going quickly learn what being The Artful Dodger is all about, firsthand.

Before being led off in handcuffs, the police should have made both of them sweep out, mop and disinfect that mop closet. I’m sure it was hideous. This would be, for most people what hitting rock bottom looks like. “Trapped for two days in an unlocked closet?” That sounds like somebody on LSD or ‘shrooms.

I agree, that $ sign is awful.
I think the no hope or direction usually comes later, after enslavement. Drugs start out as party fuel — a social enhancer. Funny how that is because once hooked, it is a very lonely state even when done with others. And the choice factor — the human will — is relinquished early on. It becomes the person’s master.
The couple smelled of drugs, drugs were found on them, and the guy was out on probation. There is a long history that led to their closet dwelling.
You think she’ll be on American Idol this next season?? :)
