"Diet sodas ... are toxic.I don't believe diet soda or anything else which contains Aspartame is good for you either.
Will diet soda be taxed because it is a soda too?
I meant to imply they just want the tax revenues on all 'sodas' even if some don't contain the sweetner.

How about a tax on Politicians!!
Would be a highly effective method of influencing behavior that carries high social costs.
