Shooting a 12 year old boy wasn't controversy enough?
Big liberal left city, of course.
They will cooperate with the Feds, of course, and it will be a sort of dry-run for the future Federalization of local policing.
I am shocked! Shocked, I tell ya! The scumbag Fed will find anything it wants to find, and then drain the defendant financially or impact benefits thereto.
The problem is the Left decided to waste their political capital on Michael Brown, instead of on this case.
I’ll wait for a study from a group with some credibility.
Dogs everywhere bark in agreement.....
No argument there. The Sharptons of the world put all their weight behind someone who turned out to be a flawed candidate for cannonization, and now they're stuck with him. In the mean time the two shootings in Ohio or the guy gunned down by the cops in the apartment stairwell get ignored.
Not sure they’d consider it “wasted”.
Seems they’re trying to downplay & normalize criminal behavior, as they’re totally ignoring all crimes leading up to each incident. This would be merely avoiding an inconvenient truth, if not for the top leadership behind this having their own obvious personal interests in downplaying anyone’s interest in “rule of law”.
Seems intended as a return to tribalism.
Waco and Ruby Ridge type of brutality?
The next big controversy will be smoking or obesity or tooth decay. Obama will not act on Holder’s report and he will not own the solution. This news won’t sell ads anymore next week, so what’s next?
If I recall correctly from the old “Cops” TV show, whenever
they were in Cleveland, the police were always wearing
blazing white shirts.
In a typical gang infested urban environment being so
dressed is a good way to get yourself shot.
Of course, this might have led the local PD to being
paranoid, and consequently the cops have adopted a shoot
first attitude. IMO
Doesn’t make such behavior moral, legal, or ethical of course.
As a Clevelander, yes I actually live in the city, the case of the twelve year old was the least of the problems and probably justifiable based on the evidence.
Cleveland has more than its’ fair share of trigger happy cops.
The latest with that officer is his previous department basically called him incompetent while the Cleveland PD failed to review his personnel files.
American Negros apparently need a separate set of Laws to cover their “ethnic” differences from the old skool European based Legal System.
To me this screams “Morale Problems”.
When soldiers have bad morale, they tend to commit war crimes.
When police have bad morale, they tend to abuse the public.
If they checked their internal reports, I would hazard to guess that the number of police divorces have jumped, and there may even be reports of spousal and child abuse. There may also be greater than typical numbers of suicides.
In any event, it all reflects back on the police leadership. Even if the civilian government is crappy, the judges are worthless, and the police departments suffers from cutbacks, if the police leadership is good, morale will still be good.

He'll still get off. And I'd say his chances of losing his job are less than 50/50.
I don't doubt that.
