Has this syndrome ever had any link to drug use (of any kind) ..??

I only ask because there’s been such an increase in drug use and also an increase to this syndrome.

Actually lack of one of the B vitamins in diet. Teen girls tend to have babies with Trisomy 21 a lot. Then again what is the first thing a teen girl does if she things she is pregnant? Yes, she diets hard! Not the thing to do if one is pregnant. This is one of the reason pre natal vitamins are high in one of the B vitamins, I just can’t remember which one. It is believed that the B vitamin affects brain and nervous system growth early on in conception. A lack of it, or very low amounts can lead to trisomy 21.

The older that a couple gets pregnant the greater the chances are that the child they conceive will have Trisomy 21.

In NY, Down’s kids were very rare.
In GA, Down’s kids are practically common.
Was a shock to realize why.

IIRC, odds of a Down’s child increases exponentially with the age of the mother.

When we had our youngest the doctors ran the down syndrome test even though we specifically asked them not to.

That too, usually women over 35. Their eggs have been exposed to the elements to too long is the belief. It also happens a lot in teen girls. It is believed because of their poor diet.

Teen girls tend to have babies with Trisomy 21 a lot.

The opposite is true.

Pray for the parents who took the easy way out as well as for the child they murdered. I am sure that their choice will haunt them forever.

There has been a sharp downturn in childbearing in women 15-30, a sharp unturn in women 31-45. That may result in an uptick in cnceptions of babies who are affected by this Trisomy defect.

That’s why I won’t contribute to March of Dimes anymore because of their direct involvement with the decisions to murder these innocent unborn babies.

FWIW my wife and I have three children. Our youngest is three years old and has Downs Syndrome.
He’s truly a gift from God, just like our others.
And neither of us does drugs.

Is that true about the March of Dimes?
I’d really like to have something to go in before I repeat that.
My youngest has DS so we are very careful about which charities and so forth that we support.

I’m sorry but I can’t see retardation or physical disabilities as a reason for murder. Perhaps there are occasions where the disability is too massive for the child to survive but most of those situations result in miscarriage as I understand.
