In the course of my six-decade white male life, the vast majority of my superiors were women and/or people of color. Moreover, every promotion I ever applied for, with one exception, was given to a woman and/or a person of color—and that one exception was the promotion that was given to me.
I would have been happy to check my white privilege, if I had ever had the chance to see it in my life. Nevertheless, I am told on a perpetual basis that I am the one with the privilege and I haven’t reparated that privilege enough, when it has never been the case that I have been privileged. There may somewhere be such a thing as “white privilege,” but this white male has yet to experience it, much less enjoy it.
What about the “black advantage”? Blacks get the benefit of being able to loot, rob, and burn as they did in Ferguson without any consequences. They have affirmative action in hiring. They get all the welfare, food stamps and Obama phones they want. Sounds like these advantages offset the alleged, so-called white privilege and it’s a wash. Even Steven.
White privilege mean that you are five times less likely to be aborted. White privilege mean you are five times less likely to be murdered by some of your race. White privilege means you will never be called an Uncle Tom by some hateful liberal.
What are the benefits or the advantages to being white in a society that has historically given benefits and advantages to members of the dominant group?
No where near as good the benefits or the advantages to being non white in a society that has historically given benefits and advantages to members of the minority groups.
I know of one job where I was told being white was why I was NOT hired.
Not sure how any white in this country today is anything other than disenfranchised, passed over, and blamed for everything wrong.
Even white woman Hillary got in the back of the bus to inexperienced half black Obama.
I know several friends who have their kids check ‘hispanic’ for race because they can pass as that. Setting up for future scholarships and jobs.

Everybody knows “white privilege” allows you to attack cops without consequence.
If Wilson’s attacker were white then he would have let himself be tackled, beaten, have his gun taken, and then be killed with his own gun. But since the attacker was not white he does not have “white privilege” and therefore Wilson killed him.
