He murdered someone, what is this business about, "being an idiot?" It makes it sound like he should have killed the singer from Herman's Hermit's instead?

Why is this idiot still using our nitrogen and oxygen? He should have been worm food thirty years ago. Are there not some Lennon fans in prison with a shank?
To: vetvetdoug
I guess they are too busy imagining.
Or the J.D. Salinger fans protected him.

Yoko came to my mind first. But Peter Noone can butcher a
perfectly good song.

It doesn’t matter. Screaming Yellow Zonker Ono and her Laywers will see that parole is denied.

What did Lennon ever do to him? He even signed his album cover that day. Chapman should have put a bullet between his own two ears first.

Translation, please?
Those who enjoy Holden Caulfield's narrative of a weekend in NYC are not at all likely to defend Chapman's blaming Holden for attempting to protect the innocence of the world's young by killing the, according to Chapman, world's biggest phony.

Forgetting your wifes birthday is “being an idiot”.
Stalking and killing a musician because he stands in the way of your delusion is being a “psychotic killer”. I notice he didn’t apologize for that.

Lmao! Never heard that one.
Judy Tenuta-that’s a blast from the past.

Yoko came to my mind first. But Peter Noone can butcher a perfectly good song. Yes, even if Mrs Brown really did have a lovely daughter.

Why hasn’t someone carved his heart out with a spoon in the chow line? No Beatles fans there? I’m disappointed.

Eh, let him go.
When you kill someone who is totally against the death penalty, and claims to be remorseful, isn’t that enough to the left?

That’s the bad thing about being an idiot (and there are millions in the U.S.A.): You might be sorry you’re an idiot, but you’re still an idiot.

What did Lennon ever do to him? He even signed his album cover that day. Chapman should have put a bullet between his own two ears first. Agreed. Loved him; hated him; liked his music, hated his music; hated his politics; or saw him as someone who was evolving and eschewing some of the more radical of the radicals of his time (e.g. the lyrics to Revolution); hated Yoko - his musically impaired and kooky wife who allegedly broke up the Beatles, or saw it for being a great love story as told in his last album Double Fantasy; whatever you thought of John Lennon, he didnt deserve to be gunned down on the street by some crazy delusional person who was posing as a fan, who Lennon gladly signed an album cover and gave an autograph to as he did with his many fans.
Chapman may think he was just being an idiot that day when he murdered Lennon in cold blood, but then there is that Karma thing
..

Chapman had a pistol and Catcher in the Rye on him when he killed. He was obsessed with Catcher, which commanded him to kill someone.
