In the 90s Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys did some spoken word albums where he made speeches about politics, the band’s obscenity trial, etc. A piece called “Die for Oil, sucker” had a bit of a poem: “Die for oil, sucker. Sucker. It’ll kill the poor (DK’s song refercence) even faster than crack; send em off to war and make sure they don’t come back”-—and he asked, “Cheap oil? The price has already gone up. What kind of a BUSH league plan is this...”

We weren’t fighting against Iraq once Saddam was toppled either.

There were two wars waged back to back, one “against Iraq” and one “along side Iraq”.
