I live near Berkeley. Students for the most part reflect the diversity of the state of California and the nation...Some conservative, some liberal. The town of Berkeley is dirty, filthy, liberal scum and worse. (and their football team sucks)

University of California, Berkeley is in many way, a wonderful school. So much goes on there besides politics.
I looked forward to taking a raft of extension classes there when I retired until the day I croaked. They have — or at least had — an extensive extension catalog, hundreds of possibilities every semester. I took The History of Film, Berlin in the Twenties, Opera History, and many other excellent classes there over several years.
