Berkeley is presently 40% “American” Asian, with 17% “International,” a majority of whom are no doubt Asian also, leaving Asians as a flat majority.
25% white, 11% “Latino.”
13% of students are Jewish, lumped in with the “whites” in the official statistics. This means the ~12% gentile whites are the most “under-represented” minority on campus.
Note how “Asians” are broken out by ethnicity in the chart, while Latinos (mostly) and whites are not.

Maybe I did!
No, went back and looked. I said pretty. But petty works for me!
At least Bard College gave us Becker and Fagen.
Didn't Rachel Corrie go there?
Or Oberlin either. What!
Oops, now I see it. How did I miss it? More coffee is needed.
Friend of mine’s daughter went to Wesleyan. When he dropped her off for her first semester on one of the sidewalks someone had written in very large letters “Queer in 4 years or your money back”
He said to his daughter, “Are you sure you want to do this?”
She did stay and did graduate (in 3 years with a dual major, but it was sociology & women’s studies, sigh) and is now married (to a man) and expecting her first child. I guess my friend should seek a refund.
And how to destroy them?
Add Hendrix College in Conway, AR to the list.....turns out LOTS of liberal, anti-gun, automatons to the UAMS medical school and Bowen School of Law. Idiots all.
D@mn Maggies.
Patrick Henry College is another.
My Dad did a few recruiting trips to Berkeley in the late 60s/early 70s when he worked for a big engineering firm that was hiring engineers.
The engineering candidate he met were top notch and very conservative. They also made it clear to him that most of the campus radicals were actually squatters who didn’t even go to the school.
I know an engineer who went to Berkeley. He is not a radical guy. Not particularly political in any sense.
If not, it sounds like it would have been the perfect incubator for her strain of America-hating virulence.
Hmmmm..
No mention of Yale, Columbia, or any other Ivy League school for that matter.
Oh, sorry. They are taliking about liberal colleges and not necessarily anti American colleges.
Here we go again, “cluck cluck cluck” over liberal’s controlling the nation’s culture factories. I may wait an eternity for a comprehensive self-critical evaluation on why the samhell conservatives got their butts kicked, not only in academia, but media, the arts, tech industry, and now, slowly, the military and law enforcement. Wake up, people, tick tock...
I realize that some of them have high cachet value for connections and jobs, but kids can really get a better education for their money by shunning at least the worst of the lot.
I was so proud of my middle daughter who got tons of college fan mail. First thing she did was check out which colleges had substantial "Women's Studies" departments and trash canned them. When I asked her why she used that key indicator, she told Dad that it was a sign of substantial Lesbian influence on campus and was the first thing to avoid.
Your daughter is very smart person!
Is there ANY college in the US, other than overtly religious colleges, that are not in the left’s pocket? What is our strategy for taking them back? Do we need a “Viet Nam war” uber event to slingshot a rollback to sanity in academia? If not, then what can we do, what tools of cognition, media and internet do we have? How can conservatives recapture the imagination of young people, harness the notion of freedom to something other than hormone clogged libido in a way that is stronger than sex, drugs and rock & roll? Do conservative think tanks even LOOK at this issue?
Reed is a filthy hole.
