Me, I Love Wendy’s! McDonalds, not that good.
Five Guys is outstanding. Great...I mean GREAT!!! burgers AND!!! fries.
When Communist Reports can figure out how to make a better tasting hamburger that is fed to millions of people around the world for $1, and still make a profit, let me know.
I had a craving for one of McDonald’s fish filet sandwiches the other day and it cost almost $5.00 !!!!! ($4.89 to be exact).
Then, another day got a craving for Taco Bell’s Taco Salad. That cost almost $5.00, too!
The fast food prices for some of their more “decent” food are skyrocketing.
They were crap 70 years ago when they were 13 cents or $1 a dozen and they are still crap today!

A tightwad tells you how negotiating pays off
I am such a persnickety shopper that I once returned a watermelon that wasnt sweet enough. No surprise that haggling is part of my daily routine. By mixing moxie and humor with a laid-back style, I seem to win more often than not, even if its a minor victory. My guidelines: Nothing is off limits, be polite, and know what constitutes a fair price. Here are some recent wins:
There’s a small regional privately held chain here that makes a great burger, Cookout. Fries are great, too. Thick but soft and moist inside, crispy outside. No canola oil there. I always order a Huge Bacon Burger, large fries and a Cheerwine with crushed ice.
White Castle is my least favorite fast food. Somewhat self inflicted. One time they gave me an extra large onion chips in addition to the one I ordered. I ate them all. Ruined me for life.
I will never eat at Burger Queen ever again.
