We must honor their culture, but not eat their food, drink tequila, etc.
So how exactly are we supposed to honor their culture? And who are they to tell me what I can eat?

I remember my dad made them with corn tortillas and then he used corn in them too. I have never seen anyone else put sweet corn (canned of course) on tacos.
It was pretty awesome though.

My sister makes enchiladas that are about as far removed from Mexican food as you can possibly get. She uses ground beef, tons of cheese and canned chili. No real spices or anything.

He was talking to the “Northern Indians” i.e., Abenaki`s & Cossucks,, who went north afterwards across the border into Canada and returned back to Coos after the War. They didn’t know what the hell he was talking about anyway, so it`s irrelevant. My gggggrandmother was in that group that returned to Coos.

In high school, I had a best friend whose grandmother was always at the stove making fresh tortillas. I’d walk in the door after school and Gram would stuff hot, fresh, buttered tortillas in my hands. Oh my goodness. On my way out the door, she’d do the same. YUM. My friend always wanted McDonald’s. I always wanted to eat at her house.

I’d serve ground Turkey hard shell Tacos, thoroughly American fare. Complainers can go pound sand.

I grew up in Texas, I do not consider tacos to be ethnic foodJust like most of us in the northeast don't think of spaghetti and meat balls or lasagna as ethnic food.

Are the Irish gonna be offended when I have corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day?
To: BulletBobCo
That I have not heard.
BTW, the native form of the dish is boiled bacon and cabbage, IIRC; slab back-portion and loin-portion bacon is not generally available in the USA, where pork belly bacon is preferred (which is called streaky bacon in Ireland).
