until we populate school boards with honest americans, Easier said than done. Not to sound like I'm making excuses, and I don't know what anyone else's towns are like, but mine is a textbook example of a small town that's controlled by a few big families....where only the FIRST names of our town officials ever seem to change. It's so bad,and the citizens are so frustrated and disgusted, that no one has even run opposed for the last three town elections!
It's THAT bad!

Why are the having kids read stuff like this instead of actual literature? I guess it is because today’s teens can relate to a school shooting and pooled semen, but not to, say, a boy and a runaway slave floating down the Mississippi on a raft.

doesnt the video show the father telling the cop youll have to arrest me? thats what it looked like to me.
He refused to leave because they had some stupid rules. If the rule was you had to remove your pants to attend a meeting, should he have done it? He had every right to be there and question the administrators on their choice of books. This was a totally inappropriate book for highschool. He was defending his daughter.
Parents should realize they have the power and take the "control" back.

It's intimidation, trust me. And in many public schools they've cultivated a cozy relationship with the local police, driven by the aftermath of Sandy Hook, where the police treat anything as a potential Sandy Hook situation.
It's true - their kneejerk reaction is to call the police at the slightest sign of things not going their way.

Two minute rules are meant to be broken. It’s sad how cowed the other parents are.

I wouldn’t of been able to sit through that, then again I’m the guy always putting myself into the line of fire and taking the brunt, must be my infantryman background.
Those people there should be ashamed.
I only figured out in about 2008, that I’m a sheepdog, and suddenly my whole life made sense lol.

Earlier this week, 14-year-old Marina confronted the school board over the incident, telling members: I honestly dont feel safe around you people.Give it a year or two more, and a 14-year-old who says something like this will either be very-publicly arrested, and charged with sedition and encouraging a riot, or she will simply disappear.

To make her a target of intimidation and harassment.
That is how the Left works. But it works both ways.

Those school board people HAVE NO SHAME. They’re leftists. No shame, no morals, no honest intellect, nothing but a program to gain absolute power over people and their lives.
To: massmike
Wowsa. Looks like some school board folks need to learn their proper place in the scheme of things.

Yes, they should be ashamed to just sit there. That’s why school boards can get away with their bullying.

well, there are still real men out there, I just pray there are enough. This dad’s young daughter did a good job too, pray there are more young girls and women like her too.
