Well, what can I say. It’s obviously some giant stealth leftist conspiracy.

The liberals I interact with hate my guts when it comes to politics. Especially online where I don’t need to bite my tongue. I guess I didn’t realize I was secretly on their side.

Libertarianism has always been pro-abortion, it hasn’t changed, and the platform hasn’t changed.

Oh.... I imagine that you find a few areas of commonality with liberals on some issues, or else you would be be just a conservative, not a libertarian.

Laws protecting marriage, keeping them out of the military.

In the last few years you have seen many laws and policies go libertarian on gay issues, why not support the politics that want to roll those back?

Same here. My own son won’t speak with me - he is a liberal - because I am too rigidly CONSERVATIVE. I kind of think I am a libertarian. Maybe I am a Constitutionalist. Geeze, I just don’t even know anymore!

So many rules, so many qualifiers - how can one determine what one is?

I am the Charlie Brown of politics.

I suppose, however I wouldn’t be much of a Libertarian if I accepted some “Libertarian” platform.

It is a political philosophy, and the language of it's party formed to represent it, perfectly represents the philosophy on political positions.

Do you support arresting homosexuals for doing their thing behind closed doors? Yes or no?

I do not support that. You?

No, libertarianism is about enforcement, not morality.

How about sticking with reality, and the political positions in play?

These are the real life political positions that we are discussing, “”Laws protecting marriage, keeping them out of the military.””

Was your weird outburst a way of saying that you do support gay marriage and gays in the military?

In other words, pro-abortion.

Man you guys go to great lengths to play games, to avoid saying things plain out.

No, sadly, your eternal search for:

1) A single leftwing social position I am promoting.

2) A single social conservative position I am attacking.

3) Anything that backs up your assertion that the public didn’t know abortion meant the baby dies prior to Roe.

continues, as it always has, unfulfilled. I notice that you avoided the question, like you always do. I oppose gay “marriage”, as is clear from my extensive posting history on this site, and think that the military should have exclusive say over who they let in. There, now you man up and answer my question. Like that would ever happen. You don’t have the guts or honesty.

Why discuss weird hypotheticals instead of the actual political issues on homosexuality.

For a guy who wants the government to outlaw “gay marriage”, and admits that he is OK with the military allowing homosexuals to serve, and who throws out weird stuff like arrest them in “their bedrooms”, you sure are confusing on simple political issues.

And you avoided the question again. You don’t have to discuss it at all, just answer it. Oh, and you also lied again, but that’s sort of your nature. I’m not okay with gays in the military, but I think the military knows best on who it should take. They don’t want them, and I think the politicians should stop making them take them.

When arresting homosexuals in “their bedrooms” becomes a political issue, then you can ask all of us our positions on it.

Back to reality, you are OK with the military accepting homosexuals, or you support federal law forbidding them accepting them? You are confusing on that.

Did I at least get it right about you supporting federal law against gay marriage in federal areas, like the military and federal employment?

Then what should be done with them? I mean the f*gs. I’m willing to pay to keep them out of the rest stops, parks, restrooms at Sears, and so forth, but I’m not really comfortable with the government having the power to prosecute people for their consensual sexual practices behind closed doors. It just seems like that kind of power could fall into the wrong hands at some point, or be otherwise abused.

who’s advocating such prosecution in the US?

Its the gays on the rampage against critics. All the critics want is the gays to leave them and their children alone.
Used to be what the gays advocated to but now they want to punish anyone who disagrees with their sexual choices.

Non answer.

I gave an answer you just didn’t like it. Can’t help that.

Hmm, a putative Objectivist starting off with the makings of a really juicy logical fallacy or three. There’s a hint of a straw man there, a little bit of begging the question, and the makings of a full-blown ad hominem. Alas, it’s late, and this brief exchange is already tedious.

“Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships.”

You quoted that with disapproval, so my question is what should be done about it? I gave my answer.

What should be done?

Federal law should still prevent homosexual marriage being recognized by the federal government, and forbid them serving in the military.
