The Boy Scouts of America has revoked its charter agreement with a Seattle church that refused to remove a gay troop leader after the organization withdrew his membership.
A Boy Scouts attorney told Rainier Beach United Methodist Church last week that it no longer could host troops under the Boy Scouts name.
The church has stood by Geoff McGrath, 49, a Seattle software engineer and Eagle Scout, after his membership in the organization was revoked last month, setting off an impasse between the church and one of the country’s most popular youth organizations. …

Outstanding post. I never considered that. Unlike the Vatican that has the deep pockets to survive such cases, the BSA will collapse once the sexual predators create multi-million dollar judgments.
And the thing about predators is: they can't help themselves. It's going to happen. Dr. Patrick Carnes describes them as Level 3 sex addicts.
The church has stood by him. OF COURSE they did. The lesbian pastor put him up to it. Such was the news about this case several WEEKS ago.

20 I don’t know about that. There’s St. Marks in Seattle which is Episcopalian, The Church of Christ {Pilgrims} and Lutheran. But of all things we have a First Baptist Church on Capital Hill that is very gay. The University Presbyterian Church is still straight and hosts a great scout troop.

8. United Methodist Church (UMC) - Strong speculation that it will suffer schism over the next few years because of this issue.
Mitt Romney has supported homosexual scout leaders for 20 years, and punished the Boy Scouts in the Winter Olympics in 2002.
