The later B25s model did get a tail gun portion again I believe staring with the G model
Some B-25Cs and D's (and their PBJ cousins) were field-modded with manned single gun positions in the tail.
The G model, which was the C/D with the 75mm gun in the nose, had the standard no-gun tail, but some were likewise field modded to add one.
Production of B-25s with the tail gun position (now two guns) started with the H and J versions, where the dorsal turret was moved forward to behind the cockpit.
