What are the top 10 months before David Letterman retires?
The first time I saw Rush Limbaugh, he was guest hosting Pat Sajak’s late night tv show for a week (he wasn’t even syndicated nationally then).
And ActUp activists shouted down his program from the audience and the room had to be cleared (they taped the rest of the show without a studio audience).
Larry King (then “king of late night radio”) called it a publicity stunt.
Years later when Rush owned daytime talk radio, Larry King made the shift to daylight and bombed. He’d hang up on callers and call them “dumb” as he did on his nighttime program (since replaced by Coast To Coast).
It was so far back in my memory I had to check when it aired. Carson was still around but I did enjoy the few times I watched Pat. I assume he doesn’t want to try again which is a shame since he would be better than the current crop.
Glad to see Letterman retiring. There are lots of reasons why David Letterman should have been fired long ago: Be>1. Above all, he is NOT funny. He is a bitter, grumpy man.
2. His sexual harassment scandal. This went way, way anything Imus every said. Not no hysteria in MSM.
3. He has lied about various politicians running for office (all of the GOP), and he knew he told lies about them.
4. His long-lasting obsession with Christie, Palin and others that have crossed over to vindictive personal attacks.
Maybe a bag of rocks.
