Actually a 14X70 mobile home.
Turns out it was a chimney fire and though the fire dept arrived quickly enough, the house was burnt in such a way, it's a loss.
We're fine, our dog (90 lbs of 2 yr old black lab) was gotten out unconscious, but they have this nifty dog oxygen mask and without getting into a long story, he's OK ... just very freaked at the time and almost normal now (what's normal for a 2 YO Lab ?)
Anyway ... we're put up in a hotel via Red Cross and Salvation Army at least until Sunday (but wee're told they'd swing more if needed)
We have a crew of church and other men coming Sat morning to take the burnt trailer out and prepare for another to come in.
No insurance (trailer too old, no one would touch it), so I call on my prayer warrior freepers to ask God to milk just ONE of those cattle for me.
Our attitude is good, we have food, clothing and the beginnings for a new living situation, We own the land ... just need another trailer.
So ...
How was YOUR week ?

Prayers up, knarf. The power of prayer is an amazing thing! I pray for His grace to shine upon you to get you through this dark time. Bless them, Lord!
I’m so happy that you and your family and dog are safe but so very, very sorry for your loss. May God be with you and yours. Blessings and many good things to come to you and your family.

prayers for you and your family.
Glad everyone is okay. Thats important.
I got it in 89, kinda traumatic.
Hang in there, it will pass.
Prayers sent.
So sorry to hear of this devastating loss, but thank G-d everyone in your family made it out alive. I hope your community and insurance company can help you get a new home.
Man, I am sorry for your loss, but thankful to God that you and your family (that includes the dog by the way) are safe.
Houses, and things can (eventually) be replaced. People can’t be.
I’m so sorry to hear this and very glad you and your’s are OK physically. Please e mail me privately and give me an address so I can donate if needed.
Knarf, been there, done that.
Actually, the most amazing thing was after the fire all the people I had known for YEARS, even my best friend, who told me they were in terrible fires and I had never known! As you talk to people about it, you will find more folks than you realize will have gone through similar and worse things and they just move beyond it. The truth is, as long as no one gets seriously hurt, it just recedes. And it is amazing how the Lord uses life circumstances to move you along different, and better, paths.
Will say a prayer for you. My fire was 20 years ago and I lost my house. And it was a glorious and one of a kind house. But actually God’s hand was in it, and it’s all good.
I hope you all had a productive day. Please keep us posted.
