Indeed! Orwell and Huxley understood the direction in which we were headed. As did Ayn Rand. And Hayek.

the left would consider it a superannuated ritual, but everyone can benefit from reflection on their lives, their mortality, and what they can do while they are on this earth.

The superannuated DC-3 at Peterborough. It once was a test bed for PZL engines. In the 1990s AirTech toyed with the idea of this DC-3 conversion, but the concept died, especially with the rise of the PT6-powered DC-3.

We went to Smokey Bones and I had pulled pork and a 1/4 BBQ chicken. Then stopped at McD’s for a Shamrock Shake.
To: SoothingDave
Smokey Bones is a great name for a BBQ joint!

Good morning! The primary in Texas yesterday showed that the Tea Party wants RINO David Dewhurst out badly enough to vote for an odd duck, Dan Patrick. They will go to a run off in May. But oddly enough, the Tea Party did NOT prevail in getting rid of Cornyn.

Ditto - I can’t imagine living in a home where a child thinks they are in charge. I hope the parents get a lot of support and that family who led the sueing of her parents get the bitch slap they deserve too!

It’s a chain. Pretty good, but a little pricey.
We do mystery shopping for them on occasion, so we had a lot of their “rewards” credits, plus a gift card, plus the coupon from the Sunday paper.
We ended up only having to pay the tip.
