I went to church today and managed a rehearsal and a service, but now I am totally exhausted.

We got a bit of a cool front, overnight. Just when I thought our warmer weather was here to stay.
I noticed that our little family of cardinals relocated their nest. I was afraid they’d left us...but I found they’d just moved from the backyard (too noisy?) to a quiet bush by our front kitchen window. Now, I have a front row seat to all of the activities :)
Lovely Yorkie. I used to have some daffodils in my flowerbed but they disappeared through the years. Hope you’re having a good day!

What a TREAT, to have the cardinal’s nest in a place that you can see them every day!
Well, I had a fever, so this time I think that this time it was some kind of sinus infection.
But allergies can be quite NASTY! :-)
I agree! It IS a treat to watch them “feather and feed” their nest.
Last year, I was blessed with being able to watch mama AND papa teach their babies to fly. I even filmed some of the lessons so hubby and kids could see. It was kind of bittersweet, though...as the babies quickly flew the nest.
The wild pigs (javelin) ate every bulb I ever planted in the past 18 years, except the canna lily bulbs. For some reason they won’t touch them.
I planted hundreds of tulip bulbs a few years ago, and anxiously awaited for spring - and the abundance of color...........
Not ONE came up - I dug around and every single bulb had ben devoured by those PIGS! :-(

Thank you, potlatch...I see blooming trees in our neighborhood. It’s a chillier day than lately and we have thunder and light rain.
Temps dropped here today..It’s 47 with light rain.
I love watching cardinals at my feeder..In winter I have a bunch..in spring one pair owns it.
I envy your having a nest right at your kitchen window!
