For us older folks you're ‘bout right but the new generation has a different feel for country, most of them except for the 4Hers and FFA have no idea what country means. They live in the suburbs so that's where the market is. I still find a lot of good country by listening to radio free Texas and going though CD baby and sampling the songs. I don't much care for the play lists on county music radio stations. Now what really sucks is these Country Rap songs, I call it C-Rap.

Todays line up are nothing more than pop stars that could not make it in top 40 and they bring their trash to country. Most of today's "country" singers are nothing more than pop singers wearing cowboy hats.

The best female country hits dont touch on most of these stupid topics, either. Kathy Matteas Eighteen Wheels And A Dozen Roses except for Charlie's truck and his woman...

I don’t see too many wearing cowboy hats. Buying some taco shaped straw hat at a gas station and tying a bandana to it doesn’t make it country.

Not Just Another Pretty Face and Barbed-Wire Halo are two of my favs.

This is a lot of crap, and the stupid list reflects it. Thanks for saying what needed to be said. LOL!
Hard to take seriously anything that mentions "Justin Beeber" and "Great Songs" in the same breath.

“Those Songs” also. My playlist has that followed by Conway’s “Next in Line”

Best country music song ever Hank Williams Jr., A Country Boy Can Survive You might be right. But that song is more than just a song, it's a description of the traditional American citizen.
I suspect that if old Ben Franklin could hear that song, he'd smile and nod.

Randy Travis, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam. They’re all fron the 90’s and they’re all good. Of the current lot I like Gary Allen. The shelf is pretty bare these days though.

stupid novelty country singer."
Fixed.

“Hey, he left out trains, pick up trucks, prison and mom.”
I was thinking the same thing about “divorce”.
But, then I realized divorce and Mom are a subset of “women”.
