Only when there is a bold contrast with RATS — Reagan, Contract With America, Tea Party — do the ‘Pubs win. Most Americans want limited government, taxes, & regulations, and maximum freedom, national security, & commerce. ‘Pubs can't win being RAT Lite — Ford, 41, Dole, McCain, Romney.
