More fodder for the sport talk shows.

I cringe whenever something like this hits because it dominates sports talk for days. Sam's coming out blocked out almost everything else for the past week.

Gone are the days when I could tune in to hear a deconstruction of a really good game the night before.

Somehow it is difficult imagining a 300 lb linebacker being the victim of “bullying”.

perhaps it’s just me.

What should have the NFL alarmed is that this behavior goes on in the locker rooms of all of the NFL teams. The Miami Dolphins were not unique in this regard.

A successful multi-million dollar lawsuit by Martin could deliver a death blow to the NFL as it would be followed by lawsuits against the other 31 NFL teams.

Mandatory sensitivity training is right around the corner which soon spreads to all sectors of America as the administration will no doubt mandate training for all Americans who are employed.

I can tell you that in South Florida, home of the Dolphins, the public opinion is firmly against Jonathan Martin and in support of Incognito.

I'm going to presume that the evidence of deep mental problems which Martin was experiencing will be scrubbed from the report.

The fact is, Martin gave as good as he got, they were actually good friends, and Incognito should have a future in the league, because he can play, and JM totally handled things the wrong way.

So the NFL's whitewash (if that's what it is) will produce a large collective yawn here in the Miami area.

Seriously?

Teasing is a rite of manhood and de rigeur for having or arguing stooped

I don’t see this as a problem.

But, I don’t rob anyone of their dignity or pride...unless I’ve had about enough of their schtick.

Which is why the fans don't deserve a good team. Incognito has a long history of character issues, and head coach Philbin wanted him off the team before the season began.

Wait until that homo player shows up...any comments perceived to be offensive will be blown way more out of proportion than this.

The Oakland Raiders will get a good offensive guard/tackle.

So let it be written, so let it be done.

Nonsense. The Dolphins will be fine. The team and the public are totally against the way JM handled things (meaning, he didn't handle things) and, as has been demonstrated by the evidence, JM gave every bit as good as he got from RI.

It's pretty amazing to see the contrast between the national perception and the local perception.

The National Fairy League is trying to go PC. Nothing happened in the Dolphins locker room that doesn't happen in every NFL locker room, it's just that no other NFL team was foolish enough to pick Jonathan Martin, who has psychological issues going WAY back.

So take your Dolphin-bashing elsewhere...

RE: “Head coach Philbin wanted Incognito off the team before the season began.”

You sure about that, Moonman?

The Dolphins have a 6 player “Leadership Council” instead of team captains.

Philbin chose Incognito for the “Council” in September, before the first 2013 game.

Also, Dolphin players love Incognito, and virtually all the players on the team thought Martin and Incognito were friends.

Anyway - where do I sign up to get bullied?

Martin got a $2 million signing bonus, plus almost $1 million more in total salary for two seasons.

He was not performing well and was not developing as expected, and, before he walked out, he was understandably fearful that he might be cut in 2014 or forced to accept a pay cut.

By the way - Martin's mother is a successful trial attorney, and she and her law firm were advising Martin from the first day he walked out.

Look at the silver lining. While Martin, a Stanford graduate, legit scholar, not like most NFL players thanks to reparations and Affirmative Action, will get a corporate job and disappear somewhere among the evil 1%, you will be able to meet and greet the lovable thug, I mean the other guy, while he works an honest job as a bouncer at some striptease club in Vegas.

Should also point out that he lost his job at left tackle after Miami signed an aging veteran to replace him at that position. In my opinion, they gave up way too much to sign McKinnie since he will not be the future LT for the team. And, if the right tackle wasn't terrible also, Martin wouldn't have gotten much playing time at all. Coincidentally, all this crap about being bullied started soon after Martin lost his job to McKinnie.

The Dolphins have been a dysfunctional organization for years. It is unnecessary to bash them.
