Oldies are more than just music, they are old memories also.
I remember in the late 70’s Renaissance was playing at the Paramount in Seattle. I showed up only to find out they had had some sort of mechanical failure at snoqualmie pass.
I suspected that not enough people bought teckets. I didn’t know anyone else who liked them, and I sold stereo equipment and records at the time.
I saw them in ‘81 or ‘82 New Jersey. It was an OK show. I remember that they did a nice cover of “America” by Simon and Garfunkel.
Thanks for the tip. I really love Knopfler’s jams and had not heard that one previously. More like that, for sure.
