"Blather?". Have you ever listened to one of Putins' press conferences?

So does dyed haired Costas, who still thinks he’s 18 years old instead of 60, agree with how Putin handles his sodomite friends in Russia? You wont hear Costas say a word about Putin’s crackdown on his pervert buddies. He might when he gets back to the states, but as long as he’s in Russia there will not be a beep out of this little liberal POS.

He signed a Flat Tax law.

Why did he do that, do you think?

He signed the law prohibiting advertising homosextuality

Would you support abolishing the First Amendment here?

He promotes and defends Christianity

There are other 1st Amendment issues there as well, but leaving that aside, is ditching the mother of his children and shacking up with a woman as young as his daughter a strong move in defense of Christianity?

He supports Syria defending their country against Christian killing fanatics

Yes, Assad is a real hero. A perfect Christian gentleman.

He's got 85%+ approval in his country

Good point. Popularity is what makes a man good, and what makes a statesman great.

Have you ever listened to one of Putins' press conferences?

I've read transcripts. I don't speak Russian.

"As you may know, China and Russia have done a lot to resolve the conflict in Syria, including our efforts to liquidate chemical weapons. The Navy men from Russia and China have an important task to handle – they need to guarantee the security of this process."

"Last year Russian and Chinese service members held two military exercises: anti-terrorist and naval. In the future, we intend to make every effort needed to strengthen global security."

Boy, Russia and China working together to "strengthen global security" - why wouldn't every American love to hear this?

I'll skip the Kool-Aid, thanks.

Wow you are actually saying that promoting homosexuality to minors is protected by the First amendment?!
No wonder you and your kind hate Putin so much.

Well, what did you think of the transcripts. Any criticism of the contents.

In 07, in pitching for the Olympics, Putin gave speeches in both English and French to secure the Winter Games.

Contrast this with Obamas' efforts, a few years ago, to secure the Summer Games for Chicago. It was embarrassing.

It's not about 'chemical weapons in Syria', it's about the Islamists attempt to take over the country. Just as they did in Egypt, Lybia . IMO, our administration has been complicit in their gains, Putins' Russia was not.

There's a night and day difference between Obama and Putin. Obama is the former, and Putin is the latter.

Just heard Rush refer to Putin as a KGB thug. Sad. Even he doesn't get it.

You did not read my post in its entirety, it seems.

In 07, in pitching for the Olympics, Putin gave speeches in both English and French to secure the Winter Games.

Too bad he's better at giving speeches than actually organizing a Winter Games that is safe and orderly.

The incipient failure of the Sochi Games is equally embarrassing. Perhaps more so.

It's not about 'chemical weapons in Syria', it's about the Islamists attempt to take over the country. Just as they did in Egypt, Lybia . IMO, our administration has been complicit in their gains, Putins' Russia was not.

According to the transcript of Putin's speech I posted above, which you ignored, it is about chemical weapons.

There's a night and day difference between Obama and Putin. Obama is the former, and Putin is the latter.

The only difference between Putin and Obama is that Putin is a National Socialist and Obama is an International Socialist.

Just heard Rush refer to Putin as a KGB thug. Sad. Even he doesn't get it.

Good point. When has Rush ever been right about anything?

It's clearly normal for Americans to bow down in worship of a shirtless secret policeman than to critically examine who he is, what he does and what his personal history tells us.

Of course, I'm conversing with a person who does not even know what the Stasi were, and who Putin was to them.

I’ll tell you one thing - to say that allowing promotion of pederasty is about the 1st Amendment (of the US Constitution, which, GASP! is not Russia’s law!) is to miss that and all other issues as well!

So far no major problems. Hope nothing happens like when Germany held the summer games on the Islamist massacred a dozen? Israeli swimmers. Or when Mexico held the games they mowed down a bunch of student demonstrator prior to the games. How about you, would you like to see them fail or succeed.

Of course, I'm conversing with a person who does not even know what the Stasi were, and who Putin was to them.

Yeh, they were something like our present FBI and CIA rolled into one. Wasn't Bush 1 director of the CIA for a time? Does that make him a thug?

It's not perfect, but Russia is now a Democracy, probably more so than us. We should all appreciate that and benefit with them.

I’m not trying to heap any praise on Putin....I’m comparing what the peoples perception of him is to Obama, most people concede he out maneuvered Obama in Syria and made him look like an amateur . Putin’s a thug....if Obama wasn’t also a thug it would be a lot easier to show Putin up for what he is!!! The fact that so many people see Putin on equal terms as the POTUS speaks to dear leaders incompetence more than anything else. This conversation would never have seen the light of day when Ronald Reagan was president because Reagan dwarfed Gorbachev!!
